By 13:30, a tour guide will lead you on a Hanoi half-day city tour, which includes most of the popular tourist destinations in Hanoi:
The first site is the Temple of Literature, which is Vietnam's earliest university. Therefore, this place is a repository for cultural imprints spanning a thousand years of civilization. Due to this, students come to pray here wishing for good luck before each key exam.
You will then visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique Buddhist pagoda. The special thing about it is it was built on a single stone pillar emerging from a lotus pond that has both cultural and architectural significance.
The Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh - one of the symbols of Hanoi, cannot be missed. This place not only witnessed an important historical event of Vietnam but is now also a resting site of the most influential leader in Vietnamese history, Ho Chi Minh.
NOTE: You can only view the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from outside. The mausoleum is closed Mon and Fri & from Jun - Aug.
Discover the amazing
Tran Quoc Pagoda, a Buddhist pagoda that has a unique architectural style and is significant both historically and religiously. From here, you also can see the amazing view of
West Lake.
After touring all of the sights, you return to the hotel to unwind before heading to Sapa.
Afternoon
You will begin your journey from Hanoi to Sapa by boarding a comfortable bus. As you leave the bustling capital behind, you will pass through scenic countryside views, including lush rice fields and rolling hills.
Upon arrival in Sapa, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you will complete the check-in process and settle into your room. You can take this time to relax after the journey or explore nearby attractions at your leisure.

Halong Bay was absolutely stunning—so peaceful and relaxing. The boat was a lot of fun, and the whole experience was just perfect.
Hoi An and Hue were both amazing. Everything was so well-organized, and all our connections were right on time. We had fantastic half-day tours in both places, with great guides who really knew their stuff. A big shoutout to Son, who made the day even more enjoyable!
Now, we’re up early at Hue airport, heading to Ho Chi Minh City. This whole trip has been such a breeze, and we’ve loved every moment. Highly recommend!

Guide in Hanoi: Mr. Tom was very nice and helpful. He helped my mother who is in wheelchair during the tour. But his English was hard to understand.

Guide in Hue/ Hoi An: Ms. Van is average. She did her job. We found out later that the incense factory that she took us to was selling incense to us on a very high inflated price. Mr. Trieu was nice and helpful too. We can understand his English.
Hotel in Hanoi: Le chateau is centrally located, modern decor and helpful staffs. But the room is too small.
Hotel in Hue: Silk path grand is a beautiful hotel and I’d come back to stay in this hotel.
Hotel in Hoi An: Bel Marina is a little outdated and staffs are just OK. They do the job. Hotel is centrally located. Too many tourist.
Hotel in Da Nang:
Fusion Villa and Resort is a beautiful and modern ocean front hotel. The staffs are excellent. I lost my sandals in their hotel spa. They did investigate and found my shoes after I checked out. Two managers and two supervisors came talk to me about this matter. Staffs are polite, professional and hard working. I’d come back to this hotel. Food is good.
Meliá vine pear riverfront is a great hotel with central location and excellent staffs. They allowed us an early check in and a room with excellent river view upon request. We left a pair of sunglasses in the room. Their staffs consistently follow up with us until they get a response from us. Excellent service. However, there are many tourists because it is a very large hotel. I’d come back to this hotel.

Then we had a cruise tour in Halong, which is so unique of an experience. I loved it so much. The cruise is so nice and Halong was such a photography paradise.
Hoi An is only a small town but it is so interesting.
Hue is a former capital so its attactions are also ancient places.
Ho Chi Minh was amazing too. Too bad that the Ho Chi Minh tour was quite short.
And then we visit Mekong Delta which is a really famous area for its distinctive way of living.
The way the trip end with free time in Phan Thiet is so well-planned. We have time to recharge after such a long journey....Less

The Mekong Delta was a fascinating exploration of Vietnam's rural life, cruising along its winding waterways. Finally, Phan Thiet's sand dunes and serene beaches provided the perfect relaxation spot to unwind.

We couldn't have been more fortunate to have Tansy as our travel agent. Tansy planned a fantastic trip with less than a week's notice, fitting in all we wanted and more. The pricing was amazingly low for all that was provided.
Everything from our accommodations to our private sightseeing tours to our evening out at a buffet and show in Siem Reap to our overnight Mekong River cruise to our flights from Vietnam to Singapore and back again was meticulously planned and coordinated by Tansy (which we were so thankful she managed to get submitted and processed for us before we crossed the border).
When we were traveling, everything went smoothly, and we enjoyed our stay in both places immensely. The lodgings were all top-notch. We had nothing but positive experiences with all of our drivers.
Tansy did a fantastic job planning all of our excursions, and each of our guides was personable and illuminating. The overnight Mekong Eye River Cruise was fantastic in every way imaginable: cozy ensuite rooms with large windows overlooking the Mekong River, delicious local food, exciting and enlightening activities at various villages along the river, and, perhaps best of all, the most stunning staff members imaginable. On the ship and during our journey, we encountered only kind and helpful people who actually cared that we had a fantastic vacation.
We cannot speak highly enough about Bestrate Travel, especially Tansy (who is truly number one!! ), for anybody planning a trip to Cambodia or Vietnam. In addition to using them again on future trips to the area, we will enthusiastically recommend them to our friends and family.

The itinerary focuses on North, Central, and Southern Vietnam. Each has an own history, cuisine, ethnic groups, and culture. The route includes pauses at Hoi An and on the Mui Ne coast, which are ideal for unpacking and catching your breath.

What we loved the most: Ha Long, Hoi An & Mekong. Sapa was touristic and had a lot of sellers.
We really enjoyed Mui Ne beach that was beautiful and less touristic.

Everything was perfect just only little disappointed that we had to pay for transport from the tour company based at the panorama hotel to our hotel in sapa maybe 1km away. Had to do this trip four times due to going to a hotel, coming back for dinner, going back for dinner, and then again the next morning for the next day for a hiking trip. Didn't cost a lot through taxi's maybe just over 10US but we didn't think we should have paid for this. Also could have walked but had luggage, it was raining and very hilly.

Only negative experience was our taxi driver who drove us from Hanoi to Halong and back. He was driving in a very dangerous way and was reacting in a very strange way. He was probably also the one who was not on time in the morning for the flight to Phu Quoc. If he had an accident, I am not surprised….., but this is something you or the agency have no influence on.

For guides I will give an overall 8/10. The Ninh Binh guide took us to a very cheap and poor restaurant for our evening meal . I couldn't eat much of the food and what I ate made me a little sick the next day. He took us to the poor restaurant because the intended one was apparently closed. However it did not spoil a wonderful time in Vietnam. The best guide was in Hue and I would give him 8/10. The Hoi An and Ninh Binh guide I would give 6/10.

Our tour guide and driver are nice and hardworking. They are very patient with us, as we are always slow in catching up on the itinerary :)
Overall, our Vietnam holiday is enjoyable and memorable. We will definitely contact bestrate again for our next Vietnam trip....Less
