John was an excellent tour leader. He was really knowledgeable and took care of everyone. The trip up to the waterfalls is long and very bumpy, so please bring trainers or hiking boots!! I couldn't make it all the way to the top since I was only wearing flip flops. The entire trip was a fantastic experience that I would recommend to everyone, solo travel included.

3 day Ha Long Bay experience

We organised with the brilliant Mia Nguyen at Best Rate Tours for a 3 day, 2 night tour with Orchid cruises on their nostalgia boat. Mia’s help and organisation was brilliant. Due to the typhoon we had to change plans but she was helpful, friendly and organised throughout. We genuinely could not have asked for more from her. The boat was clean, comfortable and with some absolutely brilliant staff. We are well, plenty of options and lots of food available. The trips we took from the boat were even better than expected. An amazing experience.
