Morning
The day begins with an exciting sampan ride that will guide you along a channel bordered by lush mangroves, leading you to a local coconut candy workshop. At the workshop, you will witness the traditional process of making coconut candy, a delightful local treat. Afterward, you can stroll through a nearby orchard, where native Vietnamese fruits are showcased at various stages of growth, offering a unique insight into the region's agricultural practices.
Following the orchard visit, a refreshing fruit tasting will allow you to sample some of the fresh and exotic produce grown in the Mekong Delta. Once refreshed, you will board a local boat, with two guests per boat, at a pier. As you navigate through the narrow creeks adorned with Nipah Palm, you will enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the Delta's waterways.
Afternoon
In the afternoon, the ship will continue its journey through an untouched region of the Mekong Delta, an area rarely visited by tourists. As you make your way towards Can Tho city, the riverside capital of Vietnam's Mekong Delta, you will have the chance to take in the stunning natural beauty of this less-explored part of the region.
Upon arrival in Can Tho, you can partake in a brief city tour. The tour includes a visit to the Zihuang Pagoda (Chua Ong), a significant cultural site in the area. You will also have the opportunity to witness traditional unicorn dances, a vibrant and entertaining aspect of local culture.
Evening
After the city tour, you will have some free time to explore Can Tho at your leisure. Take a stroll through the charming streets or visit local markets to soak in the atmosphere of this bustling riverside city.
Later in the evening, you will return to the ship to indulge in a delicious dinner onboard. The ship will dock in Can Tho for the night, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Mekong Delta before continuing your journey the next day.

Most hotels were good, but there were some problems. Hanoi was fun, but we wished we had more time there. Sapa was beautiful, but the sellers bothered us a lot. The road back to Sapa was rough.
In Hoi An, we liked exploring on our own, but the guide was hard to understand. Nha Trang wasn't great- the hotel was noisy and not friendly to English speakers. Ho Chi Minh City had problems with the hotel, but we moved to a better one.
Overall, we had a great time and would recommend Bestrate to others. We'll use them again on our next trip to Vietnam.

The Hoi An sunset hotel which is lovely.
Mekong delta at the beautiful Vinpearl Hotel. This is the view from our room! We have had a wonderful holiday. Thanks for all your hard work! Hi vana we are back in Ho Chi Minh City after a wonderful trip to the Mekong delta. Our guide Two and driver (mr. Wind) were perfect. So interesting, entertaining, reliable and kind. We can not recommend them highly enough, they made our stay memorable.
